The purpose of this session will be to provide participants with a brief introduction to the principles of action learning. Embracing the principles of action learning and experiential learning, participants will be invited to take part in an exercise to experience the potential benefits associated with this approach. A brief case study will then be presented to demonstrate the practical application of this approach.
Amanda Harrison is a chartered occupational psychologist with a range of consultancy experience gained across a variety of sectors. Amanda is an experienced trainer and facilitator, and has worked on various projects focusing on improving training and learning within organisations, with a particular emphasis on applying the principles of action learning. She has worked with staff at all levels to develop an improved learning culture and professional, standardised approach to training.
Mary-Clare Race is a chartered organisational psychologist with a strong background in delivering Leadership development programs and culture change within Healthcare settings. Previous employment experience within the NHS in Northern Ireland focused on performance improvement and service development. More recently Mary-Clare has been involved in a number of UK wide initiatives aimed at improving healthcare through the development of the workforce.
The presentation will last approximately 45 minutes and will be followed by a question and answer session.
