Description:
Positive Psychology is a strengths-based approach, grounded in science and gradually becoming more widely applied in a range of organisations, as the foundation for many HR processes, such as talent management, leadership development and recruitment and retention. Organisations are discovering how the approach can be applied in challenging times to strengthen resilience and maximise their success. Now more than ever, organisations need to be more equipped to address negative thinking, disengagement and increased stress and other factors which can lead to reduced productivity and poor performance. This session will provide an opportunity to understand and explore Positive Psychology, and try out some techniques for yourself.
Bridget Grenville-Cleave FCCA, MBA is one of a handful of psychologists in Europe to have an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of East London. She is a founder member of the International Positive Psychology Association, co-author of The Happiness Equation and a contributor to Positive Psychology News Daily, the world’s only online journal devoted to positive psychology issues and applications. She has 20 years experience in business, specialising in organisational change management. Her company, Workmad Ltd, delivers coaching, training and consulting using Positive Psychology approaches.
The presentation will last approximately 45 minutes and will be followed by a question and answer session.
