Notice to Members: Board Elections & 2014 AGM

The ABP has experienced a year of unprecedented activity. The Management Board have worked extremely hard to connect with our members, meet their needs and deliver value in our industry. The Association's leadership team are volunteers; inspired and rewarded by working together on the ABP’s purpose and strategy. On 14th April we invited and encouraged Members to consider joining us to shape your future and the future of the ABP.

Management Board nominees

Josette LesserJosette Lesser

Josette is a communication specialist with extensive experience in training and coaching clients in media skills, presentation skills, public speaking, and leadership communication.

In 2013, she volunteered on the ABP Conference Team as Marketing and Communication Lead. Josette would now like to use her knowledge and expertise to further support the ABP, aid in the development of its communications strategy, increase its exposure to both potential stakeholders and businesses and, ultimately, grow both the ABP's membership and reputation.

Clodagh O'ReillyClodagh O'Reilly

Clodagh has been applying psychology to businesses to measure, predict and enable peak performance for over a decade. She has delivered solutions at all levels in organisations as an internal and external consultant. She currently leads the IBM Smarter Workforce Talent Consulting practice for Europe.

She joined the Management Board in 2011 and was elected Chair in 2013. She is ambitious on behalf of the Association as a long-time member who has benefited significantly from engaging in ABP events and networking with members.

Nana Efua OtooNana-Efua Otoo

Nana is a Business Psychologist with an exemplary track record of success on multiple international projects. She founded Castlegate International in 2011, a boutique consultancy that provides lasting solutions to common business challenges in the identification, engagement and development of key people.

Nana has been an ABP member since 2004 and served on the conference committee for 2 years. She understands the breadth of members’ needs, having worked both as an external consultant (with consultancies and independently) and in senior roles within corporates across Europe, Africa, Asia, USA and the Middle East.

Timothy St AtherTimothy St Ather

As an original ABP founder Timothy sparked off the idea for the organisation we have today. Keen to contribute to the next stage of development; focussing the market towards the value of Business Psychology, vastly expanding our membership and generating income opportunities for members. As well as the ABP Tim is a also the founder of Photoplod, a challenging charity walk that has raised more money for good causes than you can shake a stick at.

Adina Tarry is a Business Psychologist, O/D & people consultant, Accredited Coach, Supervisor and Associate Lecturer, delivering coaching, psychometrics, cross cultural, leadership, performance and strategic HR services to clients across all sectors.

Her extensive international business experience, plus 12 years consulting and membership of 7 professional organisations, provide the rich knowledge that Adina wishes to offer to the ABP, as pro-bono work, to further ABP's services to members and its status as a body of excellence.


Myke TrinderMyke Trinder

Myke is the Director of Learning for Harvey Nash Group. His work includes Leadership and Management consultancy and driving the learning agenda. Prior to joining Harvey Nash Group he was Head of Capita Academy, with specific focus on Higher Education.He pioneered the Higher Education agenda within Capita, partnering with two Universities to provide Masters qualifications in both Leadership & Management and Business & Organisational Strategy with over 150 staff entering the programme so far.

Myke would like to join the board of the ABP to make a difference, and play a part in its growth and recognition. He believes my experience and outlook bring a fresh impetus to the ABP board, and would look forward to the challenge.

How to vote

There are five places available on the Management Board for the period 2014-2015 and members are asked to cast their vote for up to a maximum of five preferred candidates. Each vote carries equal weight and those five with the maximum number of votes will be deemed to have been elected for the period.

Members who wish to vote must ensure their subscriptions due to the ABP are fully paid and up to date.

You can cast your votes in one of two ways, either in person at the AGM on Wednesday 2nd July or via proxy form, which can be found here. If voting by proxy, your completed ballot paper must be received by the Admin Office by 5:00pm on 20th June 2014.

Attend the AGM

All members are invited to attend the AGM where the results of the election will be announced. The meeting will be in  July this year, earlier than our usual October timing in response to members’ requests and we look forward to welcoming you.
