By Martha Wright, Conference Team Member
On Saturday 10th November, a keen troupe of enthusiastic Conference Team members gathered in the chilly but expansive grounds of De Vere Wokefield Park, near Reading, for a guided tour of our exciting new Conference venue.
Representing the teams were Lucy and Seth from the Sponsorship, Martha from the Entertainment, Josette from Comms & Marketing, Meera from Keynotes and our ever trusty Deans, Dilip and Maria, who had to get up at stupid o’clock to be there, but who were still smiling!
The exhibition area
First we looked around “The Street”, an airy, light and spacious area which will be home for our sponsors, and the main mingling hub during the Conference. We then saw the restaurant and bar areas which will host Thursday evening’s activities, before continuing on to explore the conference rooms themselves. They are all roomy, with loads of natural light and wonderfully comfy chairs!
The Mansion House
Finally, we stepped outside for a short picturesque amble to the Mansion House, the stunning Georgian property which will be the setting for our glamorous gala dinner dance on Friday evening! We don’t want to give away too much at this stage, but prepare for a night of sparkle and fun!
So, you officially have the ABP Conference Team’s seal of approval for the new venue – it really is going to be the best Conference ever!
