After last year’s successful “An innovation in 2018” challenge, the newly named “Pitch Competition”, was repeated at this year’s conference. The ‘Pitch Competition’ taps into the substantial innovation and creativity of the ABP’s members and encourages them to share their ideas on a public platform.
The members are urged to offer their support through constructive feedback, contacts, and introductions to potential investors.

The Pitchers:
- Deborah Coughlin, Studio X
- Felix Schmirler, Inkblot
- Renu Gundala, Talent Grader
- Dominic McCanny, Interviewer Questions

Yuno Technologies
About: Yuno Technologies
The team at Yuno are working on a software platform that aims at helping people whose jobs are affected by automation find new careers. They do this by using machine learning algorithms and psychometric testing to match workers with employers who will re-skill them. As there is a gap in the market for a service like this, in particular for non-graduate and blue collar jobs, the Yuno team is focusing on this market, for now.
The judges applauded Yuno’s mission and approach and were particularly convinced by the urgency as well as the size and importance of the opportunity. According to predictions, millions of jobs in the UK and EU could be affected by automation over the next decade!
We agree with the judges and hope Yuno will be successful with their mission. To support Yuno’s growth, the ABP is sponsoring a branding check-up with the creative team of Flamingo Punk!
Congratulations to Lorenz Fischer and the Yuno team!
