October 11 at 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

£32.50 – £70.00

Speaker:

Sharon Patmore is Chartered Occupational Psychologist with over 25 years of experience of supporting people with a range of health and disability related difficulties, including mental health. She’s an Associate Fellow of the BPS and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Practicing Occupational Psychologist. She is also a Professional Member of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association.

Sharon has experience of working in the Public, Private and Charitable sectors and has a background in HR, Training and Development that spans over 30 years.

Since the start of the pandemic, she has trained over 800 managers in understanding how to better support their teams with their mental health and wellbeing, that enables them to cope better during those uncertain times. She has helped others understand the extent of psychological difficulties experienced by employees, specifically linked to the impact of COVID-10 physically, cognitively and psychologically within the work context.

This training is for you if…you want to better understand what we mean by Mental Health, recognise the signs that someone might be struggling and know what can help to maintain good mental health.
The pandemic has had a huge impact on employees across both their working and personal life with a greater number of people than ever before reporting difficulties with anxiety or depression. Managers have responsibilities for the health and safety of their teams and this incudes their mental health so they need to have a better understanding of their role and what they can do to help.
This session will cover:
• What we mean by Mental Health and the Mental Health Continuum
• Influencers on our Mental Health
• Link between Stress and Mental health
• Impact of stigma
• What helps maintain good mental health
• Where help and support is available

After the training you will…gain a better understanding of mental health and what to spot when someone is struggling. You will also gain clarity on what support is available including what people can do for themselves.
