Selling Skills for Psychologists: How to win a client in your first meeting

Against a backdrop of economic uncertainty and a rapidly changing environment, one of the biggest challenges facing organisations, entrepreneurs and freelancers today is how to deliver sustainable sales growth. One thing that hasn’t changed though is the impact of salespeople on the buying decision. In a series of studies cited in ‘The Science of Selling’ (Hoffeld, D. 2016), a staggering amount identified the salesperson as a deciding factor in whether buyers chose to purchase from one vendor or another. What’s worse is that findings revealed most salespeople are ineffective and actually hinder sales instead of making sales with only 37% of salespeople being consistently effective.
What the course is about
This course is designed to help those new to selling or for anyone who wants to learn the foundations for winning clients and growing their sales in a sustainable way. You will learn simple skills and techniques based on a combination of evidence-based research and practice that you can take back to your role or organisation and start applying immediately. Participants will also find out where to access additional reading, downloadable resources and further sales training and development opportunities.

Huma’s background includes 20 years of commercial leadership experience working with and for some of the biggest brands in the world, she has a qualification in Workplace Coaching, is an accredited Psychometric Practitioner and is also completing her MSc in Occupational and Business Psychology.
