As the Head of External Communications my role is to oversee the strategy and delivery of communications to deliver the wider ABP strategic objectives, specifically establishing the ABP brand as the home and voice of Business Psychology, increasing ABP membership, and promoting the activities of the ABP and its members to a wide audience.
What does this mean in practice? Well, it means I work with a team of talented volunteers to run our social media channels, website, jobs board, newsletter and (excitingly) create our new ABP podcast, so that existing and potential ABP members know about what the ABP does, the many benefits of membership, and keep up-to-date with latest thinking (and thinkers) from all those involved in improving business performance and the quality of working lives.
My vision is that ABP communications become the most respected and trusted source of news, views and information in the business psychology community. If you are a journalist seeking an expert opinion, an ABP member wanting to know what events are coming up, or a student looking to find out about how to start a career in business psychology, our communication channels will be your first port of call.
