Professor Adrian Furnham

Adrian Furnham: obtaining an MSc Econ with distinction from LSE and a  D.Phil from Oxford University in 1981, he subsequently earned a D.Sc (1991) and D.Litt (1995) degree. He lectured in Psychology at Pembroke College, Oxford before becoming Professor of Psychology at University College London (1992-2018).

He has lectured, held scholarships and been a visiting professorships varied institutions including the University of New South Wales; University of the West Indies; University of Hong Kong; University of KwaZulu-Natal; Henley Management College and he is currently Adjunct Professor of Management at the Norwegian School of Management. He has written over 1300 scientific papers and 95 books.

Like Noel Coward, he believes work is more fun than fun – and claims to be a well-adjusted workaholic. He cycles to work early and enjoys writing popular articles, travelling to exotic countries, consulting on real-life problems, arguing at dinner parties and going to the theatre.
