Vice Chair of the Association for Business Psychology and Head of Careers at NABS (National Advertising Benevolent Society)
Involved with the ABP since 2010, Uzma started her journey started as a member of the Conference Team for several years, before joining the editorial team to work on the second ABP book, which was published in 2016. The same year she received the inaugural ‘Volunteer of the Year’ award and became a Board Member, supporting a variety of projects before taking on a newly created Head of Member Engagement role. In 2021, Uzma became Vice Chair, with a view to taking a lead on the Association’s work in the areas of diversity and inclusion, as well as driving the ABP’s strategy and supporting new and current members.
Outside of her work with the ABP, Uzma is Head of Careers for the charity NABS, which combines her expertise as a Business Psychologist with her extensive experience as a certified Coach.
Having worked in HR, as well as experiencing both the in house and consultancy side of Business Psychology, Uzma believes in making a positive change in the workplace through the understanding and application of psychology. She is a strong advocate for diversity, equality, inclusion and wellbeing within the workplace and is driven to support individuals at all levels reach their potential and career aspirations.
