This is a new event, launched by the ABP and led by Dr Dawn H. Nicholson, Vice Chair and Head of University Accreditation. At the ABP, we’re passionate about sharing cutting-edge research from the brightest emerging talent in our field and our new MSc Grad…
Each year the ABP set out to recognise the dedication and commitment made by an individual to the ABP. The ABP relies on the voluntary dedication of skills, personal time and commitment provided by our volunteers, which is invaluable to the association. We are a fortunate enough to have a wonderful team of volunteers and in particular, we would like to thank and formally recognise two individuals, who have gone above and beyond in a year where we have all needed to pull together.
So, it’s our pleasure to announce, Jade Brooks and Rob Feltham as our Volunteers of the Year 2021.
Although for many of you, Jade requires no introduction as she has been instrumental in supporting the process of transition and certification of our membership with Board member Steve Apps over the past 18 months. She has coached a number of our members through the transition process, dealing with the complexities of different qualifications and evidence of psychological practice in business. Many of you will have spoken to her and would agree that she has been (and continues to be!) a fantastic advocate for certification with the ABP – the transition project would not have been a success without her.
You may be familiar with Rob’s voice, as he is the man behind the ABP’s fantastic POW Podcast. Rob single handedly ensures the podcast stays true to being the home and voice of business psychology. He is responsible for finding interesting speakers in our field, to interviewing them and editing the podcast. Rob has regularly delivered interesting content to our community.
Both Jade and Rob really have been a reflection of what volunteering is all about. They show up, somehow manage to fit in some volunteer work around a hectic work life, and contribute to the ABP.
Thank you both, for all your hard work and support to the ABP.
