A healthy workplace culture is increasingly recognized as vital to driving productivity, supporting employee mental health, and boosting retention and recruitment. Psychological safety is a proven framework that recognizes the need for leaders and teams to work together to create a culture where we can show up at work authentically and with motivation to collaborate and excel.  In this webinar Dr. Desai will discuss the core components of psychological safety and how the framework can be applied to traditional workplace environments as well as sectors such as collegiate athletic departments. Using a case-study format, Dr. Desai hopes to engage attendees in an interactive conversation as we review a ‘leadership toolbox’ that provides steps to operationalize psychological safety.

Bio:

Lisa K. Desai, Psy.D. is the Chief Behavioral Health Officer at MindWise Innovations, a division of Riverside Community Care. Dr. Desai is a licensed psychologist who has over 28 years of clinical and administrative experience working in college counselling, community mental health, hospitals, and private practice. After receiving her doctorate, Dr. Desai completed a two-year postdoctoral clinical fellowship at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School. In her role at MindWise, Dr. Desai leads the development and implementation of behavioural health solutions for workplaces and provides training for leadership and teams, with a commitment to culturally informed processes. She has presented at conferences and written on topics related to occupational mental health, crisis readiness response, and suicide prevention.
