Book Club: Leading the way: helping others to navigate the seas of change.

February 23 at 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Free

Summary:

Change is a constant and it’s at the centre of all our lives. It’s also at the heart of our work: enabling organisations and individuals to be more effective and to improve working life.

As a psychologist Charlotte thought the topic was so important that she dedicated two years of research to discover why some of us manage it successfully and others give up far too soon.

Swim Jump Fly: A Guide to Changing Your Life is based on Charlotte’s research interviewing 108 people in 27 countries and reveals what helps and hinders people in this process. In the book she shares a new model of change, tools from her background managing organisational change, as well as psychology and coaching theories and techniques. Based on participant stories, as well as scientific evidence, the book is an accessible and readable manual for change.

Charlotte emphasises that as professionals, we must lead the charge on change. But first we need to deepen our own awareness and skills before we can support others and she invites you to read Swim Jump Fly to help you with this process.

Charlotte looks forward to sharing her research and discussing how the book might help our clients, colleagues and the organisations in which we work.
