We are delighted to announce the finalists for the ABP Awards!

 

The purpose of the Awards are to Celebrate Excellence in Business Psychology.

The ABP Awards offer a unique and distinctive platform for the celebration of excellence in Business Psychology.  Whilst many awards programmes exist in the field of Human Resources generally, and in various psychological disciplines, the ABP Awards focus on demonstrating how applying an understanding of the science of human behaviour can impact workforce experience and deliver commercial and practical value to organisations.

The finalists listed below have been judged to have been able to demonstrate the commercial and practical value of a Business Psychology intervention for an individual, group or organisation.

Finalists are announced by category, in alphabetical order.

Making a difference with autism: a work experience solution. The programme supports and develops participants through a number of routes, aiming to enhance intern capability and confidence within a work environment. Key to success has been ongoing engagement with departmental leads, through continuous communication and briefings, encouraging their feedback and ideas to shape the programme to the best quality.

Jane Hobbs is an ambitious student completing her MSc in Business Psychology at UWE Bristol. An Associate Member of the CIPD, Jane’s deep commitment to understanding and improving workplaces is evident. As a joint winner of the 2023 ABP ‘Biz Psych Cup’ Student Tournament, she demonstrated an impressive ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world business problems. With a solid background in HR management, Jane has provided invaluable support to Cardiff University in various roles.

Tristan Chong is a dedicated and ambitious rising star in the field of Business Psychology, who will shortly complete his Master’s degree in the field from the University of the West of England (UWE). Prior to this, he graduated with First Class Honours in Business Management & Economics from UWE. During his academic journey, he has showcased his leadership acumen through multiple roles including his presidency of Team Enactus UWE and as a Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) mentor.
